Overview

Teengro ("we", "our", "us") is an AI-powered tutoring platform for students in grades 8โ€“12, available at teengro.in. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how your data is handled.

This Privacy Policy applies to all users of Teengro, including users of our website and mobile app.

How We Use Your Data

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not train AI models on your conversations.

Third-Party Services

Teengro uses the following trusted third-party services to operate:

Each of these services has their own privacy policies and data handling practices.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which uses industry-standard encryption and row-level security so that only you can access your own data. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. We take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorised access.

Chat history is stored in our database so you can revisit past conversations. You can delete individual sessions or all history at any time from the app.

AI-generated diagrams are stored in Supabase Storage (a secure file storage service) linked to your account. They are only accessible to you.

Files you upload (images, PDFs, text) for analysis are forwarded to Google Gemini for that single response and are not permanently stored by Teengro.

Flashcards are stored against your account in Supabase so you can study them across sessions and devices.

Voice input is processed entirely in your browser using the Web Speech API. The recorded audio never leaves your device โ€” only the transcribed text reaches Teengro.

Children's Privacy

Teengro is designed for students in grades 8โ€“12 (typically ages 13โ€“18). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 without parental consent. If you believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Specifically:

Your Rights

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Teengro after changes means you accept the updated policy.
