Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

Teengro ("we", "our", "us") is an AI-powered tutoring platform for students in grades 8–12, available at teengro.in. By creating an account or using Teengro, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please don't use the service.

2. Who Can Use Teengro

Teengro is designed for students in grades 8–12, typically aged 13–18.

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• If you're under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed these terms and consents to your use of the service.
• You agree to provide accurate information when signing up and to keep it up to date.
• One account per person. Don't share your login with others.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else has accessed it.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, attempt to abuse the platform, or pose a risk to other users.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Teengro for learning. You agree not to:

• Use the AI tutor to cheat on live exams, assignments, or assessments where AI use is prohibited by your school or board
• Scrape, copy, redistribute, or resell Teengro's content, AI responses, or features
• Reverse-engineer the platform or attempt to access systems you're not authorised to access
• Submit content that is illegal, harmful, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate
• Use the platform to generate content that infringes someone else's rights
• Try to bypass usage limits, rate limits, or paid features
• Use bots, scripts, or automation against the platform
• Impersonate another person or pretend to be Teengro

Violations may result in immediate suspension or account closure.

5. AI Content & Accuracy

Teengro uses AI (currently Google Gemini) to generate tutor responses, diagrams, and study materials. To improve accuracy, we use RAG (retrieval-augmented generation) — answers are grounded in actual NCERT textbook content for your class and board, so replies stay closer to what your syllabus and examiners expect than a generic AI chatbot.

That said, no AI system is perfect. Generated content can still occasionally be wrong, incomplete, or out of date.

• For high-stakes work (board exams, graded assignments), cross-check important answers with your textbook or teacher before relying on them
• Teengro is a study tool, not a replacement for school, qualified teachers, or professional advice
• We aim to keep answers aligned with your board and NCERT chapters, but we don't guarantee accuracy
• We are not responsible for marks lost, decisions made, or consequences arising from AI-generated content

6. Your Content

You own the questions you ask, the flashcards you create, and the files you upload. By using Teengro, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process that content for the sole purpose of operating the service (showing your chat history back to you, generating responses, saving flashcards to your account, etc.).

We don't sell your content, and we don't train AI models on it. See our Privacy Policy for details.

7. Our Content

The Teengro name, logo, design, code, and the underlying platform are owned by us. You may use the service for personal, non-commercial learning. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute Teengro's branding, design, or proprietary code.

NCERT textbook content referenced inside Teengro is owned by NCERT and used for educational reference only.

8. Service Availability

We aim for Teengro to be available 24/7, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may need to take the platform down for maintenance, updates, or due to issues outside our control (third-party outages, internet problems, etc.). We're not liable for losses caused by downtime.

9. Termination

You can close your account anytime from your profile or by emailing us.

We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, abuse the platform, or if we're required to by law.

After account closure, we retain or delete your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Limitation of Liability

Teengro is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We make no warranties about the accuracy, reliability, or suitability of the platform for any purpose
• We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (lost marks, missed deadlines, etc.)
• Our total liability for any claim related to Teengro is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, for significant changes, notify you in the app or by email. Continued use of Teengro after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
