What an answer looks like
Find the mean of 4, 8, 15, 16, 23.
Mean = sum ÷ count = (4 + 8 + 15 + 16 + 23) ÷ 5 = 66 ÷ 5 = 13.2. Board tip: write the formula first, then the substitution — the formula line alone often earns a mark.
